I can remember the exact moment that I met Nedine 21 years ago. We were both in standard six and very quirky. Just after 5 minutes with her I knew I liked her. She was so loud, positive and spontaneous that I just wanted more of her to rub off on me. We are suppose to surround ourselves with positive people. It helps us to stay positive and happy. That is what Nedine does for me:- she keeps my spirits up. We all have our own little package of sadness that we have to carry with us. That last thought on your mind before you go to sleep at night and the first one in the morning when you wake up. We have two choices:- you can carry that sadness with you all day and carry the weight that comes with it all of your life. You can show everyone that comes into contact with you that you are suffering and sad. OR………. you can put a smile on your face and focus on what is good in your life. Focus on the ones that love you and return the love to them. Nedine taught me this, not by words but by example. I am so proud to call someone like her a friend.
When Nedine asked me to photograph her wedding I jumped for joy. Relin is a wonderful, God loving, church going man. The perfect man for her. He reminds me a lot of my own husband. Quiet en reserved, intelligent and serious. The kind of man that will always respect and protect his wife. So he gets a “yes” from me.
The theme for this wedding was “Candy” and lot of people worked very hard on this project. One of the service providers that I can highly recommend.
Wedding coordinator, decor and flowers:- Jacques of Nieu-Bethesda-Karoo-Weddings [Jacques is a friend of Nedine and he travelled all the way to Pretoria for this occasion]
Just a few favourites. Part two to follow shortly.
This is the last part of Ivor and Candice’s dream wedding day.
All the images can be viewed under the client secion.
Part I can be viewed here.
Candice looked like a dream in her wedding gown from Lady Marmalade. Every time she looked at her Dad I felt a little emotional myself.
Part III to follow shortly.
Ivor went down on one knee to place the ring on Candice’s finger.
The BEST FRIENDS.
Ivor and Candice tied the knot at the lovely Moon & Sixpence. I have know this couple for quite a while. In fact I have photographed two weddings previously where Candice was a bridesmaid and I ran into her at another. By the time I came around to photographing Candice and Ivor’s wedding day, I knew a lot of their guests and I think I understood their needs very well. It was lovely to see everybody again and to be a part of such a special celebration.
I consider Ivor and Candice as more than a “bridal couple”, I also consider them as dear friends. Therefore I will be going BIG on the blog. Please have patience as I load all the sections of their wedding day.
Lets kick of with Part I:- Getting Ready.
Ivor and his twin brother Ivan. Luckily for me their attire was different.
Not only is the Moon & Sixpence a lovely wedding venue:- the light in the Bridal Suites is to die for. My second shooter for the day, Andre Sonnekus, and I both used natural light in the bridal suite.
Candice and her very proud daddy, Pastor Derrick.
